The government funded Crosbie... Crosbie House
was closed in March, 2003. It had operated
for 24 years and treated more than 4000 Nova
Scotians for drug, alcohol and gambling addictions.
The success of its 28-day program was exceptional.
The program was based on sound, proven practices
similar to other noted structured treatment
programs throughout North America. Client
satisfaction, referral agent satisfaction,
outcome studies and waiting lists were all
indicators that the program met the needs
of many Nova Scotians. The Crosbie House Society
has been active raising funds to open a new
private centre.
The
success
Three
out of four people who completed the Crosbie
program were abstinent after a year. Client
satisfaction with the Program was measured
at 99% in an independent study. Accolades
from audits, community groups, elected representatives
and clients are a matter of public record.
The Crosbie House Society is incorporated
under the Societies Act of Nova Scotia (Registry
#3087978) and is a registered charity (Business
#85741 5806 RR0001)
